Jon's Man Cave

Jon is by far the happiest person in our home right now.  That boy has it made down in his room in the basement.  It is actually kind of sad how well he has it.  He has 2 tv's, an xbox, computer, and now a mini fridge, thanks to his girlfriend.  I went to check on him one night, since he never comes upstairs anymore, and he was playing a game on his xbox with his other tv on mute while he was listening to music on his computer.  I just turned around and walked back upstairs.

For his birthday all he wanted was a new computer.  So thanks to his awesome families gifts of money he was able to pay for most of it while Ken and I paid for the rest.  As soon as his birthday part was over he and Ken ran to Walmart to get his new computer.  They came home with a 32" flat screen (are you kidding me) and a new desktop.  Unfortunately the computer didn't work so at 2:00am they headed up to Collinsville to take it back.  Jon was NOT happy.  But when Ken woke up today they headed to Best Buy and Jon got another one.  Which works great so Jon is very happy.

Right now he actually has 3 tv's in his room. And his fridge is stocked full with Mountain Dew and chocolate milk.   I mean really, this is disturbing.  Jon says all he needs now is a microwave and he will never come upstairs.   Bye Jon, it was great knowing you...

A little rearranging

Since Ann came home with her big news our life has become completely turned around.  And I don't just mean OMG I'm gonna be a grandma turned around, I mean OMG where are we going to put a baby turned around.  After 17 years of filling our house up with everything that has nothing to do with a baby we are struggling as to where we are going to put everything.  And since it has been 17 years since I have had a baby in the house I had forgotten how much stuff babies need.  But that is another panic attack for another day.

So we started moving.  Everyone.  Nobody is sleeping in the same room they were sleeping in a month ago.  Jon moved into Ken's in the basement (yes Ken slept in the basement, better for our marriage), Ken moved into Jon's room, I moved into Ann's smaller colder room, and she moved into my larger, warmer room.  Now her room is a nice shade of brown and mine has 5 different colors splattered all over the walls.   Ann is warm and toasty every night and I have to put layers of blankets on my bed to stop the shivering.  And she is going to get whooped if she turns on her fan one more time because she is hot!!!  But I'm not bitter  : D

We now have the crib up (thanks Jen!) and are "discussing" where the changing table should go.  Not to mention the clothes, diapers, high chair..........aaauuuuggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Panic attack  1929293839492948 starting ..........
