Wasting time waiting on the baby

Another weekend without a baby to hold.  To say this is making me crazy would be an understatement.  So to stop me from asking Ann 101998394903 times if she is ok or if she is feeling anything, Ken and I decided to head up to the camper.

We bought this feeder while in Mexico.  I didn't think a bird would actually eat out of it but there is a small bird that hangs around that jumps right on there.

Aunt Mary bought me this.  Is this not the cutest thing ever??

A little bird decided to make a home in a hole in our porch insulation.
These are seriously cool pictures.  I may have to submit these somewhere.

Sunday we had the kids up for dinner.  Ann was starting to go stir crazy so we have her a change of scenery.

I took her on some wild golf cart rides and made her walk around the lake but it didn't do any good.  Trevor is refusing to come out and play!

Last picture before the baby is born.  Can't wait to meet the little guy!!!

Let's walk the zoo

Walk, walk, walk.  That's the advice Ann is getting when she talks about having the baby.  So today we headed to the zoo.  I figured there is no place better to walk than there so we loaded up the car and off we went.  At first it was going to be just me and Ann, then I decided to ask my friend Amy if we could borrow her baby boy Brock.  Then Jon decided to go and then Ben and Brady joined in the outing.  Needless to say, we had Ann's car packed full!

I was hoping to use this trip as a test run on how it is to go somewhere with a baby.  However, this is probably one of the best babies ever so we really didn't learn anything.  He never cried, we had to make him eat, was happy being held or sitting in the stroller.  I will be sending up prayers that our little guy is just as wonderful!

He had a good time hanging with Jon

This was the first time I had ever been to Stingray Cove.  I think it's really neat how the kids can touch the stingrays.  Of course, the stingrays Ann and I swam with when we went on our cruise were much bigger  : D

The new sea lion exhibit opened this month and it is very beautiful.  The line was a little long to get to the underground viewing tunnel but it moved fast.

Unfortunately most of the sea lions were sitting under the rocks so not many were swimming around us.

Poor zebras were trying to find any shade possible

Don't the boys look super excited?

Of course Super Brady had to make sure Brock was ok.

 And he's out!

 Sweetest foot ever!

He said, she said.  And they both got on my nerves!

This dude is like "get me back to my iceberg.  This heat sucks!"

Brock was sleeping until we walked into the penguin exhibit, then the cold woke him up fast!  He loved watching the penguins swim around.

All the animals had to eat!

I win!  The best quote of the day was from Brady.  He said "you can tell my mom isn't here because we haven't had to stop and pose for 100 pictures"  HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

My sweet precious Brock.  We had the best day at the zoo.

Next it's Trevor's turn!!!!!!!

July 4th

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!!!!

This year the 4th of July had a little extra meaning for me.  I generally love this holiday (even though it is smack in the middle of summer and I absolutely HATE hot weather) but since Jon joined the Navy the freedom we experience and the sacrifice thousands of people have made for that freedom takes on a little deeper meaning.  I may have even cried a little when they introduced the Navy guy before the fireworks.

Ann's goddaughter Jersie all dressed up for the celebration!

I don't think Jon has taken this shirt off but twice since he joined.  I may have to invest in some more Navy attire.

Debbie always posts sweet pictures of Cate, but me, I focus more on real life.  And this attitude is about as real as it gets.

Every year the Community Choir performs a bunch of patriotic numbers.  This will be the last year they perform before the fireworks so I made sure I got mom and dad there to see the concert.  The police department was given some VIP tickets so we were able to sit up close.  And by up close I mean right under the speakers.  I think dad even heard the music  : )

Jon and my bff Amy's girls Kacie.

GOD BLESS THE USA!!!!

Swim Meet

I may hate baseball in the summer, but I love love love swim meets.  I know I know, watching a swim meet is about as exciting as watching a fly crawl up a wall, but for some reason I just enjoy it.  Maybe it is because  it reminds me of the Olympics and I love love love to watch all of those events!!!  For whatever reason, I try and go watch my nephews as much as possible.

Brady is kind of a big deal.  As you can see he was way out in front of the poor kid in the next lane.

Brady knew he one.  He was trying hard not to gloat, I think....

I love this picture of Carter.  He probably has one of the prettiest strokes of anyone on the team.  I would post more pictures of him swimming, but it seems all I got were pictures of the splashes.

I kept talking whenever Ben was getting ready to swim and so I never had my camera ready.  I had to stay until close to the end of the meet to get some pictures of him.

But he didn't let me down either!  Go Ben Go!!!  Kick, Kick, Kick!!!  Count your strokes, you have time before you hit the wall.  KICK!!!!!!
