Hello Trevor James

Last week Ann had a 3d ultrasound.  Trevor wasn't cooperating very well.  He refused to budge so most of our pictures are of his foot on his forehead!

Look at those sweet cheeks!

It's a Brady kind of weekend

This weekend we took Brady and Jon to the camper with us.  To say I am still worn out would be an understatement.  Brady has been wanting to stay with us since the campground opened but this was the first weekend our schedules were in sync.  Ben was supposed to join us but he ended up staying at a friends house.  His loss.

We started the afternoon in the pool.  Brady didn't find it exciting enough and soon wanted to go fishing.  So we dried off, grabbed some worms, and went to find Uncle Kenny.

Our first stop was the big lake.  Of course Brady was the first to catch a fish, not that anybody should be surprised about this.  At first he wouldn't put the worm on the hook, not that I blame him at all, but after a while Ken said enough and that if he wanted to keep fishing he was doing it himself.  The kid is a fast learner  : D   Next lesson, how to untangle a fishing rod.......  ( I have gotten VERY good at this!)

While Jon and Brady fished for bluegill and crappie Ken was going after the bass.  As soon as he caught one Brady took off running to help him get it off the hook.
 Look, Jon caught a minnow  : D

I would love to be able to post all the pictures I have of his fish but this blog would be really really long.  By the time we left, he had caught 62.  I know this because he kept yelling his total every single time he caught something.

Ken finally gave up on the bass and tried getting in on the bluegill action.  He caught the biggest one but Brady kept letting him know that he had more  : )

For dinner I grilled us some burgers with boiled potatoes, cucumbers, and corn on the cob. The potatoes came from my back yard!!!  YAY ME!!!!  Of course the cucumbers and corn came from our produce stand.

While I was cooking dinner Brady fished in the pond behind our camper.  I want to go on record saying I have never seen anybody catch a fish out of this pond.  Brady caught over 10 here.  I really can't explain it.

Brady was nice Sunday morning and let me sleep until 7:00am before he had me and Jon take him fishing again.  He fished till about 12:00pm when it was time to leave.  He could have stayed out there all day.

Brady was so dirty!!  I told him his hands were gross and he looked at me like I was stupid and then gently explained that this is what happens when you spend all day touching fish and worms.

We left the camper early Sunday so we could take Jon to Butch's house for a few days.  Brady of course wanted to go with us so we headed to St. Clair, Missouri.  As soon as we got there Jon got out the four wheeler and him and Brady went for a ride.  Then Jon got Buck ready so Brady could go for a ride.

To say we had a jam packed two days would be an understatement.  Jon was ready for some rest and I was looking forward to some peace and quiet!!

Ann's Baby Shower

Saturday June 9th, 2012 we had Ann's baby shower.  My sister and Aunt Mary put most of it together, with mom, Eileen, Jennifer, and Nancy helping.  It was held at Central Christian Church and turned out wonderful.  The fact that we were all speaking after it was over says something about the way it went.

We got there around 10:00am to set up.  There were tables to decorate, food to get ready, and people to greet.

We had a jungle/sports theme.  Ann loves animals and sports so it was pretty easy to put together.  And it seems jungle animals are the in thing right now.

These were placed at each setting.  Debbie made up the cards and Mary did the adorable candy bars.

It was easy to decide on a theme once Ann picked out her crib motif.  She fell in love with this pattern so we designed everything around it.  I mean really, how cute is this blanket!

 Debbie thinks she's funny

What a super cute diaper cake.  Who was the extremely gifted person who made this?  Oh right, me!!!!  We used Ann's beanie babies as part of the decorations.

Aunt Mary made this adorable wreath to hang on the door to the hall

Debbie made these super cute table decorations

 4 generations!

There was a wonderful turnout. We are so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends.  And yes, that is Jennifer giving her Jesus impression on the stage  : )

Everyone talked about how wonderful the food was.  A huge thanks to everyone who contributed.

 Ann hates giving speeches

Cate opened every single gift.  I am not even sure Ann knew what she was getting.  Brady helped keep everything organized and made sure all the wrapping paper was thrown away.  Ann said she couldn't have done it without him.

 Nora and Kenzie

At one time Ann had every kid up on stage.  I was exhausted just watching them

Ann's soccer girls.  She has made some great friends and Lindenwood and she was very happy to see them come to her shower.

THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO MADE THIS A WONDERFUL BABY SHOWER!!!

Time for Goodbye

This was the lobby of the ship.  The entire ship was just beautiful.

The night we left Cozumel there was a party on the Lido deck.  There was dancing and a mexican buffet.  The ice and fruit sculptures were amazing.

I think Jon had about 80 ice cream cones this week.  It was self serve and everyone pretty much just grabbed a cone everytime they walked by the machine.  I mean, why not right?

Jon danced the night away with his friends.

Jon is right in the middle of the dance party

Friday there was an ice carving demonstration on the Lido deck.

Our last day at sea was spent laying around and grabbing some rays.

Ken telling Jon what he needs to get packed up

The piano bar was the place we ended up every night.  Bruce, who is from Scotland, played name this song every night.  He was amazed at Ken's song knowledge.  I think Ken misses Bruce.

This trip wiped Jon out!

Goodbye Mexico, hope to see you real soon!!!!!!!!
