I am a United States Sailor

His hockey jersey is hanging on the wall in the recruiters office

A year ago he looked scared to death

Now he looks like if I take one more picture he is going to put me in a strangle hold

 I do solemnly swear....
I am a United States Sailor

I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America and I will obey the orders of those appointed over me.

I represent the fighting spirit of the Navy and those who have gone before me to defend freedom and democracy around the world.

I proudly serve my country's Navy combat team with Honor, Courage and Commitment.

I am committed to excellence and the fair treatment of all.

Farewell to Jon

A final goodbye before he officially becomes a Sailor!

Trevor doesn't seem very happy that Uncle Jon is leaving!

Having fun at the zoo

 These two will miss him!

Hopefully Josh will be part of the Navy soon

 Me and my best buddy!

 One very proud father!!

Last family pic for awhile

Paddlers Fun

There hasn't been a summer that I haven't spent at the pool.  Since my first year Paddlers has been my home of fun and sun.  For the past 21 years my kids have played there, now my grandson is splashing around.  It is so much fun to see him play in the water.  He loves it!  However, it takes at least 2 people to watch him in the baby pool because he likes to crawl into the "deep end" all the time then practically drowns himself.  But he always comes up smiling  : )  So glad he isn't afraid of water!

One last throw from Jon

Lake Egypt

The weekend after Easter Ken, Jon and I went down to Lake Egypt to visit the Haun family.  Jon has been wanting to get out on the lake and this was pretty much the only weekend we were able to go.  It was chilly but we had a great time.

Jon really enjoys hanging out with Paul

See all these steps?  I had to walk them many times.

Proof Uncle Orlie can catch fish.

 Jon won biggest fish

Jon was pretty excited when Paul let him drive the bass boat.  He hit 55 mph at one point.

After we got home everyone came up to the camper for a Sunday cookout.  The weather was pretty nice and Trevor loved being outside.

One of many golf cart rides!!!!

Easter

Happy Easter a month or so late!  I would have updated the blog sooner if I could have remembered my sign in.  But all is good so settle in for a couple of months of updates  : D

 Seriously, this kid is crazy!

His face reminds me of Annies when we give her kisses

Daddy found him an Easter Egg

Which of course goes straight into his mouth

 I just love this picture
