Christmas with Boo and Barb

Sunday the 22nd of December we headed to the farm to see Butch and Barb and celebrate Christmas with them.  We had a wonderful dinner and had a lot of fun watching the horses and sitting around talking.

 This is one of my favorite pictures this season so far.  Trevor was fascinated by the horses that were just outside the window.  The horses stayed up by the house the whole time we were there so all Trevor had to do was walk to the window to check them out.

 Trevor gets a little confused as to what is a horse and what is a dog.  

 After we opened presents we went outside to feed the horses.  The kids had more fun playing in the back of the truck than messing with the animals.

 Barb always makes sure that Delaney has a special moment to celebrate her birthday.  She gets her own chair and we sing while she blows out her candles.  Barb is very good about making Delaney feel special.

 Trevor pulled a Delaney and ate off everyone's plates.  Delaney's first Christmas Eve is still one of my favorite memories.

Trevor wanted nothing to do with getting on Buck so he went back inside and continued to ride Mickey.

A Police Christmas Party

Today was the Granite City Police Department's Kids Christmas Party.  This year it was at the KC Hall and there was a magician and an appearance from Santa! Trevor was on his best behavior and had the best time playing with all the kids and pretty much made everyone laugh the entire time!

 Grandpa tried to get Trevor to eat some pizza but all he wanted to do was run around with all the other kids.

 Trevor was fascinated by the magician.  He went up to him and just talked and talked.  

 I am just going to stand right here by this guy and make everyone look at me and laugh with me. I have no idea what he is doing but that's ok because nobody is looking at him anyway.

 This guy actually held his attention for awhile.  Yea, I'm shocked too.

 Trevor found a friend to sit with.  He has never met this kid before but he decided they were best friends.

 He is my friend so I will show him my belly.

 Trevor seriously makes the funniest faces!

 I don't know who this kid is behind me but I think he is weird (and so does my gma!)

YA!  Another toy that makes noise so I can drive grandpa crazy!

Let It Snow!!!

Last night the most wonderful snow fell.  The good fluffy kind that sticks great and is lots of fun to play in.  And it's not super cold so we could go play outside!

 Ann learned that it takes 20 minutes to dress a kid for 5 minutes of play

 Trevor was not super impressed with the snow.  But he was impressed with the super awesome shovel job that his grandma performed that morning!

 Woo Hoo Grandma!  Clean sidewalk!  You are such a hard worker!  Too bad nobody appreciates it but me.  But I know  how wonderful you are don't worry (actual conversation Trevor and I had this morning)  (ok maybe not word for word but that is what he meant when he said ahhhhhhh)

 Ann and I decided we had more fun playing in the snow than Trevor did.  He refused to walk in it and every time he fell down he whined for us to pick him up.  Total surfer dude in the making.

May be another year before we get a snow angel out of him.  And let's be honest, this kid has NOT earned those wings yet.

 I wish I could read his mind right now.  But how awesome is this snowman!?  I haven't built a snowman in forever and me and Ann had lots of fun even if Trevor didn't.

 Trevor was not impressed with the binky in Mr. Snowmans mouth.  It didn't last but maybe 30 seconds.

Like the high heels? Snowman may be a drag queen.  Thank goodness for mom and all the stuff Cate leaves at her house.
